MDS Blog Hop - Unless...

Hi everyone!  This is one of my favorite weeks of the hop - the week where we get to show what we've been working on.  Last week our PTO president contacted me and asked if I would make some tags for an appreciation gift she was working on for the school's volunteers.  She wanted the tags double sided - the front with a quote from The Lorax and the back with a Thank You.

I didn't want to do a cartoony Lorax tag, but I knew I wanted some bright colors to make it fun.  Here's what I came up with:

For the background of my tag I chose Pool Party and then decreased the opacity until I was happy with the shade.  I placed 8 tags on a page just like I did when I made tent cards for my son's baptism luncheon.  I had a lot of fun playing around with different papers and elements - hope the volunteers like them!

MDS Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Well...I haven't had time to do the sketch challenge from Mandy.  So sad.  I've been super busy preparing for a craft day at church tomorrow and I just haven't had time to open MDS.  I still plan to do the sketch though - it's adorable!  


I noticed that Erica posted the samples she created for Leadership and I thought that was a great idea!  I was also asked to create a few things for Leadership, so I'll start posting those designs over the next several days.  Stay tuned!


This is the first project I created, a cute little tag.  I had a lot of fun with this one - I did a front and a backside.  I'll come back and post links to the products, but I'm short on time this morning.  For now, I'll tell you that I used the Berry Blossoms DSP and the Best of Everything stamp set.

Birthday Tags

Stampin' Up came out with some fun new templates a little while ago and one of those included gift tags. Last night I gave a friend a birthday present and I needed a gift tag, but didn't have the time to make one. So, I decided that should take advantage of the new templates to create some tags. I can print several and keep them on hand for those last minute gifts.
