MDS Blog Hop - Pocket Cards!

Good morning!  It occurred to me that I never announced we changed the days of the MDS Blog Hop.  I hope you didn't stop by yesterday and find an empty blog!  We've moved our blog hop days to Thursday rather than Wednesday because two of our awesome Design Team members are on the Artisan Team and their blog hop is on Wednesdays.  BIG congratulations to Cindy Schuster and Jeanna Bohanon!  They both worked really hard on their entries and are incredibly talented.  We're so proud of you both!!

Speaking of talented ladies - we'd like to welcome Cori Kozak and Julie Davidse to our Design Team! We've been scoping them out for awhile now and were thrilled when they agreed to join our team.  We hope you enjoy the creativity they're bringing to this blog hop!

Now on to today's project - We had the choice to do either something related to pocket cards or school.  Since I just posted a school design I thought I'd try my hand at pocket cards.  Here's what I came up with:

We went on a big family vacation to Orlando last year and I have yet to scrapbook it.  Partly because I'm overwhelmed with all the pictures I took and partly because I've had other things to work on.  So...as I was thinking about pocket cards I remembered the Project Life craze that's going on right now.  I've always thought it was a good idea, just hadn't tried it yet, and it occurred to me that it would be the perfect way to scrap all those vacay photos!

I opened up The Best Life 12x12 album template and just picked a layout that I wanted to work with (I'll rearrange things as I go).  I think I need to spend a little time looking at some Project Life ideas, but for now this is working for me.  All I had to do was drag and drop my photos in, change some papers, add a couple of embellishments and some text.  Not hard at all!  At this rate I may actually complete this vacation scrapbook before Stampin' Up has another printing sale!

Now it's time to move along in the hop and soak in the awesome creativity from the rest of the Design Team.  Enjoy!

How fun. I'm going to check out The Best Life. I like how you can really connect the journaling to the pictures.

Great page! Now I may have to use your ideas to make a page from our trip to Harry Potter world during leadership. I have yet to make a book or layout from that trip.
