MDS Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!  It's been a crazy week, so I'm glad that the weekend is finally here :)  It was my turn to pick the challenge this time around and since I am in love with sketches - they really get my creative juices flowing - that's what I picked.  I found this one on BHG's  Such a fun site!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

Generally I follow the sketches pretty closely, but this time around I had a picture bigger than what the sketch showed.  No worries - it was a great starting point for me and the page came together rather quickly.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to scrap at first, but then I found these pics of my little guy standing so proudly next to his potty chart. Look closely - the potty chart was made using MDS! So it's an MDS page within another MDS page - awesome.  I had already started designing with the On the Go kit and wouldn't you know - it worked out perfectly for this page!

I hope you have a great time on the hop this morning and that you get some great inspiration for your own MDS projects.  Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness, I have to pass this Time to Pee idea on to my sister immediately! How did you come up with that? New follower, please stop by and follow back at when you can! :)

Thanks for stopping by! The idea actually came from a book called Time to Pee by Mo Willems. I read it to my son in hopes that he'd get excited about potty training and, being a boy, he got a good laugh out of the title every time. He loves Thomas, so I found an image of Thomas underwear and used that as squares to check off. Worked like a charm!
