MDS Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!  It's been a crazy week, so I'm glad that the weekend is finally here :)  It was my turn to pick the challenge this time around and since I am in love with sketches - they really get my creative juices flowing - that's what I picked.  I found this one on BHG's www.scrapbooksetc.com.  Such a fun site!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

Generally I follow the sketches pretty closely, but this time around I had a picture bigger than what the sketch showed.  No worries - it was a great starting point for me and the page came together rather quickly.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to scrap at first, but then I found these pics of my little guy standing so proudly next to his potty chart. Look closely - the potty chart was made using MDS! So it's an MDS page within another MDS page - awesome.  I had already started designing with the On the Go kit and wouldn't you know - it worked out perfectly for this page!

I hope you have a great time on the hop this morning and that you get some great inspiration for your own MDS projects.  Have a great weekend!

Oh my goodness, I have to pass this Time to Pee idea on to my sister immediately! How did you come up with that? New follower, please stop by and follow back at http://sassyshopperreviews.blogspot.com/ when you can! :)

Thanks for stopping by! The idea actually came from a book called Time to Pee by Mo Willems. I read it to my son in hopes that he'd get excited about potty training and, being a boy, he got a good laugh out of the title every time. He loves Thomas, so I found an image of Thomas underwear and used that as squares to check off. Worked like a charm!
