MDS Blog Hop - Getting ready for the Holidays!

Good morning everyone!  Two years ago several of us joined together to create this blog hop and share our enthusiasm and love for digital designing with My Digital Studio.  Those two years have seen a lot of fantastic projects and some changes here and there.  Recently we made a few more changes, so if you've been with us since the beginning we want to give a big "Thank You!" for sticking with us and making this such a fun experience. If you've just recently found our hop, Welcome!  We hope you find inspiration in the projects we share each month and use that to create your own projects.

First on our list of changes: we have new designers that have joined us - WELCOME CORI, JULIE B. and ELIZABETH RUSH! There are now 10 of us on the team which means more fun for you! This is a group of unbelievably talented women and I am so grateful to be a part of this with them. They certainly inspire me and I'm honored to call them friends.

You will find us blog hopping on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month! We will have a "theme" selected on the first hop and then a "What we are doing in MDS" on the second hop. Also new is the hopping method. Just click on the NEXT button and it will take you to the next person on the hop.

Halloween is one of my absolute favorite holidays so I chose to share a Halloween Party invitation with you this week.  Whenever I start a new project I look around online for inspiration and most of the time I find something I just have to copy.  It's a challenge for me to figure out how to recreate the idea in MDS and I can always tell when I'm on the right track because I get really, really excited!  That's what happened with this invitation and I'm thrilled to show it to you because I love how it turned out!

What do you think? I had so much fun playing with different overlays to create a spooky Halloween look.  The moon is my favorite part of this invitation!  When I print it I'm going to use the new Artisan postcard shape.  I took a screen shot of the card with the bleed area so you can get an idea of how it will look.  Tell me that's not the coolest thing ever!  I love it.  : )

That's it for me this week, but we would love to hear what you think of our "new" hop and projects, so please take a moment to let us know in comments!  Click the Next button to see what Cindy created : )
