Pink and Frilly baby album

Lately it seems like all of my pregnant friends are expecting girls, so I've finally been able to make some cute, frilly girl albums! I bought the "baby" album at SEI and used Nana's Kids paper to cover it. The ribbon is from SU and the flower embellisments I bought at Carolee's Creations. I'm posting this picture for 2 reasons:

1. It just turned out so darn cute!

2. Even though I prefer SU products because of their high quality - there's tons of other cute stuff out there too. So...if you've ever felt overwhelmed that you can't make adorable projects because you just don't have everything in the catalog - don't worry about it. Use what you've got. The end result might surprise you!

A Penny for Your Thoughts

Hey Girls! I've noticed that lots of you are looking at my blog and I'm so thrilled! I hope you like what you see here. My goal is to post a new project every day, so hopefully I'll reach that goal sooner rather than later.

I'm also hoping that you won't be shy - I really do love to read everyone's comments. I'm pretty good at taking constructive criticism so don't be afraid to tell me what you really think! I'm still wondering if anyone would come if I held a second Girls' Night Out - post a comment and let me know!

I started a poll just to your right to find out what night y'all prefer to attend classes - there are only 3 days left and only one person has voted so far :(

Still Loving My Retired Sets

I never got around to making birth announcements for Simon like I did for Andrew and I've always felt a little sad about it, so I was adamant that I at least make the invitations for Simon's first birthday party. I stayed up until 3 am one night trying to get them done, but I think it was worth the effort. Even though I miss my sleep , there's just something peaceful (and somehow, energizing) about working in the quiet hours of the night all by myself.

I found the cute poem on Split Coast Stampers, but I can't find the link now or I would post it. Almost all of the supplies I used are retired, but I still love them!

The recipe:

Stamps: Circus Train, Petal Prints
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Kraft, Whisper White, Brilliant Blue and Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Stampin' Write Markers, Wild Wasabi
Tools: Cutter Kit

So Much Fun!

We had a great time Friday night - lots of laughter and some great girl talk! It was so nice to sit back and relax with my friends. Sorry the picture is a little blurry, I got a new camera a few months ago and it's not as great as the reviews said. I can't seem to get consistently good pictures. Ugh.

Thanks for coming Brianne, Beckie and Isabel - I really had a great time :)

A Second Girls' Night Out?

Lately I've had several people tell me that they're interested in attending Girls' Night Out but haven't been able to because of scheduling conflicts. For the past couple of months I've actually considered switching to a weekday, but a lot of my regular attendees like having it the second Friday of each month and don't want to change.

So...I've been wondering, is there enough interest in the class to hold it a second time during the month? We would make the same projects at both GNO nights, but hopefully this would give you more flexibility and you wouldn't have to miss out on our projects! Let me know what you think. There is a poll just to your right and you can vote for the day(s) that would work best for you. Having a second GNO would mean that I have to ask for extra time off of work, but if there are enough people wanting to attend then I'm more than happy to do it.
Please leave some feedback and tell me what you think.

GNO Halloween Page

Finally...I have our scrapbook page finished. I hope this helps you to decide what picture(s) you'd like to bring so that when you leave tomorrow night, you'll have a completely finished scrapbook page!

I orginally tried to scraplift this layout from the cover of this month's Scrapbook's Etc. It didn't end up looking much like the orginal and I'm still a little unsure about the placement of my pictures, but I don't think it turned out too bad. Besides, I've rearranged every element on this page about a hundred times and I should probably just leave well enough alone :)

Girls' Night Out - Tomorrow!

Can you believe it's Girls' Night again? Where does the time go? I've been working on our projects during every spare second I have and I think you'll be pleased at what I've come up with. I know I am :)

Here is the card we'll be making:

I found the inspiration for this card on the Split Coast Stampers website. Here's the web address: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1046741?si=heard%20from%20the%20heart

I'm still working diligently on our scrapbook page. It's a Halloween theme so feel free to bring your own pictures to finish off the page. I should have a picture posted early this evening. If the kids cooperate - that is!

As always, please let me know if you're planning to come so that I can have enough supplies cut for everyone. The class is $4 - club members are free - and I provide all the supplies you'll need. If you'd like to bring your own adhesive that's definitely ok, but I will have glue sticks for you to use. I prefer to use SNAIL adhesive myself - it's less messy and doesn't warp the paper.

I can't wait to see you all tomorrow night!

Club Orders Have Shipped!

Hey Stampers' Club! I received an email from SU this afternoon saying that our order has shipped. I'm expecting it to be delivered tomorrow. I'm not sure if it will be here in the morning or afternoon - it kind of depends on who's delivering it :) I'll have the orders at my house for you to pick up. If you need me to drop it off at your house just let me know!
