Pajama Party Pics!

Here we go - finally some pictures of our Pajama Party at Bear Lake! There were a few people who had to cancel last minute which was disappointing, but we still had a great time with just the 4 of us!

Since some of you couldn’t come but were still interested in making the projects, I’ve planned to do them on December 12th at Girls’ Night Out. For this GNO I need you to let me know if you’re coming and what projects you’d like to make so that I can have supplies for you. If you don’t let me know ahead of time then I’m really sorry, but you’ll be SOL.

Here’s a link to the pictures of the projects available: http://stampincrazed-amber.blogspot.com/2008/11/pajama-party-projects.html

Stampin' for Fun!

I’m usually so busy creating projects for my classes that I don’t have much time to make anything just for fun. I actually made these cards as a gift, but that’s still fun for me. So...here are the two cards that I made. The exact same layout and stamps, but just change up the paper and ribbon and you have two different looks! So simple, but lots of fun.

Unfortunately some of the supplies I used are retired, but here’s what I used:

Paper:

Always Artichoke cardstock

Sage Shadow cardstock

Certainly Celery cardstock

Whisper White cardstock

Wintergreen DS paper (retired)

Soft Sky double stitched ribbon (retired)

Certainly Celery 5/8” grosgrain ribbon

Accessories:

Stampin’ Write markers

Stipple brush

Mellow Moss Classic ink

Black StazOn ink

Stamps:

Holiday Tag Team (retired)

Christmas Countdown

I finally have a picture of the Christmas Countdown that we'll be making at my Pajama Party this weekend! I think I might sand the frame down a little, but I forgot to get some sandpaper when I picked up the paint. So...I'll just do that part later.

Several people have expressed interest in the projects we're making for the Pajama Party, but aren't able to attend, so I'm planning to hold another class. I know for sure that I'm available to do a class on November 29th, but I have a feeling that people will still be out of town for Thanksgiving. If not that weekend then maybe December 6th? I'm putting up a poll on the side - so go ahead and vote for the weekend you want. I'll let you know in a couple of days which weekend I've decided on.

Having a Grand ol' Time!

Well, it's 11:30 and about a half hour ago everyone finally finished their projects at GNO - Yikes! Sorry to keep everyone so long, but I really had such a great time with all of you. I always underestimate how long a project will take...should I make them a little less involved?

Here's a pic of the scrapbook page. It's an 8 1/2 x 11 and we learned a technique called Faux Silk. It's hard to see in the picture, but basically we stamped an image on tissue paper, colored the image, and then glued that to a piece of white cardstock. So the leaves that make up the four squares of the background is not printed paper - that's a stamp! I'm planning to put this year's Thanksgiving photos on this page, so I'll re-post the truly finished product in a couple of weeks :)

Here's Christina with her VERY FIRST scrapbook page and look how fabulous it turned out! We're all so proud of you Christina!!

Lisa and Valisa were also newbies to GNO, so Beckie and my Mom (Debbie) were a lot of help in showing everyone the ropes. Here's a "candid" photo of everyone happily working. Oh, in case you were wondering, "candid" means that they didn't want to look up for the picture! I can't really blame them though - I'm a little camera shy myself.

Even Andrew was involved in the creative process. He loves to "help" me stamp and he's actually getting pretty good. Sigh...my little stamper. How cute is he?

Thanks so much to those who came - I had a great time! I know schedules don't allow for everyone to be there each month, but we missed you. Hopefully you can come next month!

Girls' Night Out is Tomorrow!

I think I'm making history here - I actually have a GNO project ready to show you ahead of time!! Granted it's only a day ahead, but I'll take it!

I haven't finished the scrapbook page yet. Mainly because I've been stampin' all day and I'm a little tired. But - I have this adorable card to show you:

This stamp set - In Everything Give Thanks - is one of my new favorites. I don't know why, but I laugh each time I look at the turkey. There's just something about him that's amusing :)

GNO is at my house at 7:oo pm Friday, November 14. The cost is $4 to cover supplies, but free to Stampers' Club members.

I hope to see you there!!

I forgot to mention...

I put this in the email that I sent to all of my customers, but I forgot to mention the details of this Pajama Party in my last post.

My in-laws have let me use their Timeshare and I've been able to reserve a 3 bedroom Penthouse up at Bear Lake! That means we can stamp all night if we want to :)

I'm going to be holding this event on 2 different days so that you can choose the day the best works with your schedule:

Thursday, November 20 @ 6:00 pm
or
Friday, November 21 @ 4:00 pm

Registration is $15 which will cover the cost of dinner, breakfast and snacks!

I have 7 spots available each night, so sign up soon!
I'm sure that we can arrange to carpool with each other, if needed. I'll keep you posted.

You can leave a comment, email or call me regarding the projects you'd like to make. This doesn't leave much time for you to decide, but I'll need put the order in by November 14th so that I have time to prepare your projects for you.
